Palm Beach Post: “Zing went the strings!”
Music to my ears: the Young Friends of the Palm Beach Symphony kick off another sensational season of charity and service providing the gift of music to children in the community. This season’s group of notable music lovers includes chairman J. Roby Penn IV, and the group hosts its inaugural event in the courtyard of The Royal Poinciana Plaza in Palm Beach tonight, Wednesday, Nov. 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. Enjoy complimentary cocktails, savory bites, and a special strings-only performance by students from the U.B. Kinsey/ Palmview
Elementary School of the Arts.
As past chairman and as a current executive committee member of the YFPBS, I’m admittedly partial, but this really is one of the most festive young-friend groups (this is Palm Beach, so age is of course relative). No long speeches, just inspiring music to spread the good news that the arts provide to children in the community.
