Downright swampy heat and humidity did nothing to wilt the spirits — and we’re including the liquid kind here, too — of the crisply clad and coiffed attendees at the season kickoff for the Junior League of the Palm Beaches.
The reception took place Sept. 21 in the East Courtyard of the Royal Poinciana Plaza.
Morgan Baker and Lauren Czarniecki were chairwomen for the event, which included specialty cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, a lip reader, live music, a photo booth — or, as we like to call it, ‘the evidence locker’— and a swag bag.
The celebration marked the commencement of 78th year of the Junior League of the Palm Beaches, an organization of women “committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.” Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
More than 250 Junior League members and their guests attended.
Proceeds benefit the ongoing community work of the Junior League of the Palm Beaches.
