Palm Beach Daily News: Cozy and chic loungewear during quarantine
As the weeks under lockdown continue, we’ve traded heels for slippers and evening dresses for PJs, but being home-bound doesn’t mean sweatpants and T-shirts should be the new reality. It looks like Palm Beach won’t be back to normal anytime soon, so why not prepare for the days to come in chic loungewear. We rounded our favorite pieces from local favorite shops and brands.
When it comes to indoors, the bigger the better. Sies Marjan’s oversized pippa jacket, available at Kirna Zabête, is as cozy as it is functional. Made of 100 percent lamb fur, the oversized silhouette looks just as good with loungewear as it does with a pair of jeans and T-shirt or slip dress (for once we return to our social lives). For a multi-purpose piece, opt for a Sablyn cashmere cardigan. Honestly, anything from Sablyn is loungewear perfection, but this ribbed knit fabric and relaxed fit is 100 percent cashmere.
Just a week before their planned Palm Beach appearance, the sister-duo and founders of Mirth, Katie McClure and Erin McClure Breen, had to cancel their event at goop due to the coronavirus. The brand, known for its light handmade pieces from India, still released its goop collab exclusive pieces including this classic all-white sundress.
