House Beautiful: Next Wave Designer Caroline Rafferty Sets the Ultimate Party Scene
When designer Caroline Rafferty opened The Grand Tour in Palm Beach last year, her goal was to bring the feel of a global shopping trip to Florida—and, judging by the popularity of the store, she succeeded. For its one year anniversary, Rafferty wanted to expand on that theme, incorporating local vendors in an effort to “highlight all the wonderful things in our community” through a pop-up called The Souk. And she decided to house it—where else?—in a tented wonderland inspired by the markets of Morocco. Last week, designers (many in town for the Kips Bay show house) celebrated The Grand Tour’s anniversary in style at a party cohosted by House Beautiful Style Director Robert Rufino—and we got the scoop on just how Rafferty turned a simple white rental tent into an Insta-worthy party palace.
