The inaugural Palm Beach Race of Hope 5K will begin at 8 a.m. Sunday at Royal Poinciana Plaza.

The 3.1-mile race benefits the Hope for Depression Research Foundation, which was founded by resident Audrey Gruss.

Runners will start at the Royal Poinciana Plaza Fountain, go north on the Lake Trail, and come back to the starting point via North County Road.

No roads will be closed during the race, but police officers will be managing some intersections for the safety of drivers and runners.
