Palm Beach Daily News: Buy cake and help Feeding Florida

Palm Beach Daily News September 10, 2019

Throughout this month at TooJay’s, a dollar from every slice of cake sold benefits Feeding Florida.

That’s the case not only at the TooJay’s in Palm Beach in Royal Poinciana Plaza, but at all of the 20-plus TooJay’s locations in Florida.

TooJay’s first launched a partnership with Feeding Florida in September 2017 and since then, it has raised thousands of dollars for the nonprofit organization.

Feeding Florida is a statewide network of food banks helping to provide a consistent, healthy food supply to millions of Floridians, according to the organization’s website.

At TooJay’s, the September cake-slice program benefiting Feeding Florida applies to all kinds of cake at TooJay’s. Whether you buy a slice of coconut cake, say, or chocolate layer, the purchase benefits Feeding Florida.

The program means that enjoying cake from TooJay’s bakery “has never been more meaningful,” Max Piet, TooJay’s president and chief executive officer, said.

Guests who purchase a slice of cake this month also can make donations by rounding up the amount of their final TooJay’s bill. TooJay’s will donate up to $10,000 during the September-long campaign.
