Forget the sleigh. We all know that Santa is secretly a beach bum, and his preferred transportation mode is surfboard (take five, Rudolph!). The folks at The Royal Poinciana Plaza in Palm Beach are obviously in the know, and they’ve made it abundantly clear with this stunner of a surfboard Christmas tree. Using 52 custom-made surfboards, the tree’s retro-pastel color scheme was inspired by the plaza’s roots (it was constructed in the 1950s). The tree is 20 feet tall, weighs more than 4,000 pounds, and was built to withstand up to 110 mile-per-hour winds.
