New York Magazine: What LoveShackFancy’s Rebecca Hessel Cohen Can’t Live Without

If you’re like us, you’ve probably wondered what famous people add to their carts. Not the JAR brooch and Louis XV chair, but the hand sanitizer and the electric toothbrush. We asked Rebecca Hessel Cohen, the founder of LoveShackFancy, about the candles, socks, and bronzer she can’t live without.

I’m obsessed with a duster because I’m always wearing my heels with long skirts or dresses, so I like to have something that you can just throw on and layer. This one is a great length; it’ll keep your legs warm, but it’s not too long where it’s getting in the way and being annoying. It can substitute for a coat, and is really cozy and amazing to travel with — not just as a jacket. I was just on a plane with it, and I used it as a blanket too. This one was inspired by some really fun vintage sweaters and shirts. It works for the winter, obviously, but also for the summer, when you’re walking on the beach at night. It’s a really great layering piece. Most recently, I wore it with knee-high platform boots, a pink floral dress, and a scarf. I draped it over my shoulders, kind of like a long cardigan.
