Sisters Nicky and Simone Zimmerman founded their namesake brand in Sydney, Australia, in 1991, beginning with the fusion of fashion with swimwear. Since then the Australian brand has applied a vision of sophisticated femininity, a passion for detail and a love of color and print to collections across ready-to-wear and resort.

The brand has eight stores in the U.S. including Mercer St. in New York City, Meatpacking District, East Hampton, Americana Manhasset, Bal Harbour in Miami and Melrose Place, San Francisco, and Pacific Palisades in California. In addition to the Europe stores, Zimmermann has since opened in St Tropez, France. Stores in Paris and Capri are due to open in 2019.
